Civil Engineering Technician

SBK are looking to expand their civil engineering team by recruiting a dedicated CAD technician to assist the engineering team in the preparation of project deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of infrastructure related projects consisting of highways, drainage, and earthworks, and have an excellent knowledge of the use AutoCAD. A knowledge of Civils 3D and BIM level 1 + 2 would also be beneficial, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review CAD drawings for a variety of schemes working in parallel with design engineers.
• Be able to set up drawings using Xrefs and CAD layers to global coordinated locations and prepare them for issue in electronic and paper format.
• Be able to prepare and maintain drawing document issue registers on multiple projects.
• Knowledge of design and deliverables typical for S278 and S38 highway schemes.
• Knowledge of design and deliverables typical for S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes.
• A knowledge of working with Civils 3D, and BIM level 1 +2 interface would be beneficial.
