<p>SBK are looking to expand their structural engineering team by recruiting a senior structural engineer to assist the engineering team in the preparation of project deliverables.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have experience in design and will have worked on concrete, steel, timber and masonry projects to construction stage and produced a high level of structural calculations.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Lead SBK project work across a number of projects, being an outward facing point of contact for clients, but still engaged with technical delivery.</li>
<li>You will be a capable structural design engineer, able to work independently and to supervise and check the work of junior colleagues within the team.</li>
<li>You will be managing your own projects and assisting with fee proposals and tenders for new work.</li>
<li>Structural Engineering design for a variety of building projects, of both new build and renovation projects.</li>
<li>Use of design software packages including:
<ul>
<li>Tekla Structural Designer</li>
<li>Tekla Fastrack Suite</li>
<li>CADS Masonry, RC and Foundation design packages</li>
<li>Revit</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Co-ordination with internal and external design teams.</li>
<li>You will be required to attend design team and client meetings, site meetings and inspections.</li>

<h2>Person specification:</h2>
<ul>
<li>BEng or MEng in civil and/or structural engineering.</li>
<li>Approximately 7-10 years post-graduate experience, working on building structures projects.</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience of working at a Project Lead/Senior level, including management of staff.</li>
<li>Achieved or close to Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Great team-working and personable approach to clients.</li>
<li>Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual.</li>
<li>Candidates must be willing to spend time on site and occasional stays away from home.</li>
<li>Full UK driving licence preferred.</li>

Senior Structural Engineer

<p>SBK are looking to expand their structural engineering team by recruiting a Structural Revit Technician, a proactive individual with a good eye for drawings, models and aesthetics. Someone who wants to learn and keep up with developments in software technology.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have worked on concrete and steel projects to construction stage and produced a high level of model definition. You should have a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience of using Autodesk Revit Structures or above on building design/construction projects.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2>Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Work with Engineers and liaise with internal and external project teams to produce structural information modelling and drawing production on projects.</li>
<li>Prepare and develop structural drawings, BIM models, images and other documents relating to the design.</li>
<li>Work with project teams to develop and implement project specific BIM workflow, BIM Execution Plans and Data Management.</li>
<li>Take responsibility for the production and delivery of structural information for specific areas of the design and project development.</li>
<li>Help the BIM Manager and BIM coordinators with BIM related tasks.</li>
<li>Help in the organisation and coordination of the structural design team as needed to deliver projects successfully.</li>
<li>Assist the BIM Manager with maintaining project specific library of families and develop new families as required along with other project specific contents.</li>
<li>Good and efficient Autodesk Revit modelling skills driven by a good understanding of structures, especially steel and concrete.</li>
<li>Good understanding and creation of complex parametric Revit families (BIM content).</li>
<li>Knowledge and/or experience of working with IFC file formats and COBie standards.</li>
<li>Experience and clear understanding of Projects Geolocation Setting out, implementation and use of shared coordinates, publishing coordinates, managing site models etc.</li>
<li>Experience of working with internal and external information from a coordination point of view and demonstration of working with live Architectural and MEP linked models.</li>

Revit Technician

<p>SBK are looking to expand their administration team by recruiting a junior admin/document controller to assist the Directors, office manager and the rest of the team. The individual must be proactive with strong organizational skills, good communicator, ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to develop long lasting relationships with clients and colleagues and demonstrate good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience, and willing to produce a variety of work day to day.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2>Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Diary and inbox management.</li>
<li>Typing of letters/reports/notes of meeting.</li>
<li>Creating marketing documents using Adobe InDesign/Powerpoint.</li>
<li>Filing of all incoming and outgoing emails electronically using ‘File Manager’.</li>
<li>Meeting and greeting clients and visitors to the office in a professional manner.</li>
<li>Assisting with answering and redirecting all incoming calls using a small switchboard</li>
<li>Use of various portals for uploading/downloading of documents i.e. Viewpoint (previously 4P), Aconex, ASite, Sharepoint, Dropbox, WeTransfer.</li>
<li>Proof reading of appointment documents.</li>
<li>Assist with the monitoring inventory and ordering of supplies as necessary.</li>
<li>Organising business travel, itineraries and accommodation for Directors.</li>
<li>Assist in collating information in preparation for annual quality management audits.</li>
<li>Update Constructionline, Builders Profile and various other portals to maintain accreditation.</li>
<li>Adhere to all company policies.</li>
</ul>

Junior Admin/Document Controller

<p>SBK are looking to expand their civil engineering team by recruiting a dedicated CAD technician to assist the engineering team in the preparation of project deliverables.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of infrastructure related projects consisting of highways, drainage, and earthworks, and have an excellent knowledge of the use AutoCAD. A knowledge of Civils 3D and BIM level 1 + 2 would also be beneficial, but not essential.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2>Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Prepare and review CAD drawings for a variety of schemes working in parallel with design engineers.</li>
<li>Be able to set up drawings using Xrefs and CAD layers to global coordinated locations and prepare them for issue in electronic and paper format.</li>
<li>Be able to prepare and maintain drawing document issue registers on multiple projects.</li>
<li>Knowledge of design and deliverables typical for S278 and S38 highway schemes.</li>
<li>Knowledge of design and deliverables typical for S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes.</li>
<li>A knowledge of working with Civils 3D, and BIM level 1 +2 interface would be beneficial.</li>
