Civil Engineer Designer

SBK are looking to expand their team by recruiting a Civil Engineer, a multidisciplined individual able to undertake design work and coordinate with third parties such as client, contractors, and local authorities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in the design of infrastructure related projects consisting of highways, drainage, and earthworks, and have a current working knowledge of the use of Civils 3D, AutoCAD and drainage design software.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design for infrastructure projects, including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design with some supervision by senior staff.
• Represent SBK at client, contractor, and local authority meetings.
• Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff.
• Knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes, including awareness of current drainage legislation and sustainable drainage practice.
• Knowledge and awareness of the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments.
• Knowledge of working with Civils 3D, AutoCAD and drainage modelling software such as FLOW, Infodrainage and Microdrainage.
