Conversion of former storage barns at the William Sapcote & Sons yard into a dynamic contemporary office space in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
The existing building is arranged as two primary wings overlooking a sheltered courtyard space creating a combination of openness and seclusion. The existing structure contains load-bearing masonry, steel, and timber elements to create a blended internal and external palette. Our work includes assessment and repair to existing structure, along with the provision of new staircases to the building.
SBK have been appointed to carry out civil and structural engineering design to this local project from detailed design stage through to completion. The finished project will be the new home and design studio for Syntegral.
