The existing carparks consist of an RC framed structure designed with nominal capacity, and a steel-framed structure originally designed with significant additional capacity for future extension.
The redevelopment includes the addition of 5 new residential buildings located on top of the existing structures and 2 buildings located on ground adjacent to the existing structure.
The project includes detailed intrusive investigation of the existing superstructure and substructure to establish capacity and long-term durability for the support of new buildings. The team have carried out extensive regressive analysis in order to develop a scope of strengthening works to the existing podium, in addition to design and co-ordination of the residential blocks above.
